Chevron Studio: a partnership with NREL to scale up and commercialize decarbonising technologies

Earlier this year, Chevron and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) announced a new initiative that supports entrepreneurs to commercialize technologies, from incubation up to demonstration trials.

Chevron Studio links entrepreneurs with national labs and universities to scale up and commercialize innovative, early-stage technologies that have the potential to enable a lower-carbon future.

It has four main areas:

  1. Carbon utilization
  2. Hydrogen and renewable energy
  3. Energy storage systems
  4. Solutions for a circular economy

According to their website they’ve got one cohort going at the moment, and applications are open for a second. There’s a bit more information from NREL here and here.

Have you worked with them? You don’t need to share details, but if you’d be willing to have people contact you, please reply below. Thanks!
